The Conquer is scheduled to launch on August 21. That very day, according to this information, Sprint will be sending out an OTA update designed solely to patch a potential security vulnerability with Qualcomm's eXtensible Diagnostic Monitor software.
The EVO 3D's update looks a little more substantial, containing a host of device-specific bugfixes. Post-update, you should experience more accurate GPS data, correct temperature display on the lockscreen (along with a fix for lockscreen freeze-ups), and see that birthdays finally show up right when syncing contacts with Facebook. If you're a big bloat-hater, you'll appreciate that the update will enable you to remove even more pre-installed apps than you could before. The EVO 3D update, system software 2.08.851.2, should start going out OTA on August 23, though a manual install will be possible as of August 18.
